ESRI Ireland understands that any GIS project is a significant undertaking for an organisation. It represents an opportunity to move forward from systems that have served the organisation well for a number of years but do not exploit recent advances in both Internet and database management technology.
The availability of new technology is not in itself a guarantee of a project delivering the required business benefits. Projects are fundamentally about people. The project teams from client and supplier need to develop a mutual understanding of the problems to be solved, the organisational as well as technical impacts and crucially set timescales that are recognised by staff as challenging but realistic.
Our Approach
Our project management approach is based upon the principles of PRINCE2. We have developed a comprehensive methodology to underpin an implementation that is optimised for GI projects. This is documented as part of our Quality Management System and is available for inspection as required.
