ESRI Ireland is the only ESRI authorised and certified training center for ArcGIS in Ireland. We have training centres in both Dublin and Belfast and we run standard training courses on a regular basis at both locations.
All our trainers have been through the ESRI International Teaching Program and are certified by ESRI to teach and train in the latest GIS technologies from ESRI.
We also provide onsite training (standard or customized) at our client's premises which is subject to infrastructure and facilities requirements.
Training Needs Analysis
In conjunction with our standard training courses, ESRI Ireland offers a training consultancy service based on training needs assessment. The purpose a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is to determine the gap between what members of staff are able to do now (the Current Performance) and what they are required to do in the future (the Required Performance) in order to perform their jobs effectively to meet the organisation's objectives.
Training Needs Analysis is important because it:
- Confirms current and required performance
- Allows data to be gathered to confirm if there is a training issue
- Allows data and information to be gathered on tasks, jobs, people and skills needed to perform
- Identifies technology requirements & usage
- Allows time for planning
- Avoids wasting any time and effort
The benefits of this process are to provide:
- A clear overview of the training goals for the project, incorporating the main business outcomes as identified in the project's objectives
- Allows the organisation to establish optimum timescales and deliverables
- Allows the organisation to find out who needs training and who are the experts
Enables the organisation to better understand what the medium and long term technology requirements may be.
